Extrajudicial Mediation

In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, the option of alternative dispute resolution may be requested at the Bar Association competent for the respective lawyer (in accordance with Section 73(2)(3), (5) German Federal Lawyers’ Ordinance).

We offer consumers the option of alternative dispute resolution in disputes arising out of, or in connection with, the lawyer-client relationship. The competent body is the Lawyers’ Conciliation Board (Section 191f Federal Lawyers’ Ordinance) of the Federal Bar Association (Neue Grünstraße 17, 10179 Berlin, www.s-d-r.org).

The EU’s online dispute resolution platform is available at: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/

Cooperation

The partners of AQUAN Rechtsanwälte operate as a partnership with limited professional liability. Under professional rules, German attorneys may not represent conflicting interests (Section 43a(4) Federal Code of Professional Conduct for Lawyers [BRAO]). Therefore, prior to accepting new client representation, it is always reviewed whether a conflict of interests is given.
